An Interesting Website

My husband found this website and I wanted to pass it along to my readers. Be sure to do your own research and discuss any risks with your doctor before beginning any chelation protocol. I'm not a doctor!

The website is called Mercout.com. The website supplies the patient with a 30 day supply of DMPS. The only difference is that you must prove that you have elevated mercury levels in your body with laboratory testing. Mercout.com offers a test you can buy through them if you do not have a test, but they will also accept a test you already had done previously. I think that's pretty awesome! Since DMPS is prescription, this is necessary for the company to cover their butt.

The website says....
Step 2: Physician Review of Your Mercury Test Results
If the urine test by the independent laboratory indicates that your mercury level is elevated, it is very likely our physicians will recommend that you begin to remove this toxic substance using the MercOut Detoxification Program.
I definitely have laboratory results that show I have elevated mercury levels in my body, so I have no issues with "proving" it.

I'm starting to think that I need DMPS to get the mercury out rather than DMSA. Studies show that DMSA pulls only 1/5 or 1/10 the amount of mercury than DMPS. This challenge test was complete with a small dose (~65mg) of DMPS injected in my arm very slowly. I really doubt DMSA is grabbing anywhere near 30mcg of mercury every 4 hours. I'd love to prove that, but I just don't have the $$ to throw around to experiment.

It got warm today and I'm already getting symptomatic. This spring/summer is going to be rough unless I get this metal out of me. I'm not about to chelated for 8 years to have minimal improvements.

Speaking of which, I am chelating right now. I'm taking 50mg of DMSA every 2 hours. The Cutler folks will think I'm crazy for even considering such a high dose, but in his own book he says you need high doses to get this crap out. 5mg every 4 hours isn't going to do anything to get mercury out of your body. It's like throwing a little cup of water on a large fire. You need a bucket of water to even begin to put the fire out. Have fun with your cups of water...

The Journey Continues...

Here is My story-Part 3!

All eight amalgams were removed in September '08 and I began to chelate with low dose DMSA following Dr. Cutler's frequent dose protocol. I didn't realize that EDTA, cilantro, challenge tests and chlorella were dangerous before. I no longer recommend them to anyone. My hair started to grow back within a few days of chelating with DMSA.

Unfortunately during my 8th round of chelation in October '08 I crashed. I don't know if it was the chelation, a mercury dump or it was just destined to happen. I began to get very itchy. It started off with hives and then led to skin itchiness, which completely controlled my life. This went on for 2-3 months. Finally I started to lose weight/night sweats and went to a PCP in the area. She told me I had swollen lymph nodes near my collar bone and was quite concerned about me. She did the standard basic blood work and my TSH came back undetectable. The PCP was convinced I had a hyperthyroid and sent me for testing. However I refused to undergo the radioactive scan/uptake test. I did the ultrasound which came back completely normal. More blood work actually suggested secondary hypothyroid because I had low FT3/FT4. She completely dismissed this and thinks TSH is the know all for the thyroid. Worthless, useless doctor and she didn't really want to hear about it anymore and just referred me to an endo. Yes she was a DO btw. Some people think these types of docs are wonderful... Well in my experience they are terrible too.

Dr. Goldstein wasn't sure about all of this and he told me to see an endo as well. During this time, the itching was just so bad. It would make me shake. Some blood work showed an elevated ALT , low neutrophils and WBC's. This is when I completely discontinued chelation and decided my body needed to rest.

Over the course of the next few weeks, the itchiness got better on its own. I developed severe chest pains in the middle of December which were terrible too. At first it was quite sharp, but then became this dull ache that last for several weeks. A trip to the ER did not reveal much of anything. They told me I pulled my chest wall. I just recently got the labs from that ER visit and it shows my potassium was low, which can cause heart problems and my ALT was elevated again. None of this was ever mentioned to me when I was there. Apparently they didn't think it was important... The lesson here to ALWAYS GET COPIES OF YOUR BLOOD WORK!

While waiting for the endo appointment to arrive, I started looking online for more answers. I needed help and knew the endo would be a waste of my time. I just wanted to be as prepared as possible for the appointment with a stack of labs in hand, so I didn't have to come back again. Thankfully I found a few yahoo groups and a hormone support group with other people suffering from the same symptoms as me! They were able to tell me which labs needed checked especially since I was dx with diabetes insipidus. During all of this, I was recommended a doctor about 5 hours from me and after some thinking decided to go see him.

It was the best decision I ever made in my life. After all of this craziness, I think I might actually get some help. No offense to Dr. G but he never helped me in the entire year's time I saw him and wasted that entire year chasing bullshit. I was never given florinef even though he saw my low aldosterone numbers. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. The new doctor questions whether I really have Diabetes Insipidus and that it may only be low aldosterone symptoms. He has diagnosed me with adrenal insufficiency (the cause we are still investigating), low aldosterone, and hypothyroid.

I just started on florinef and will slowly raise it over the next few weeks. I can't wait to see what it does for me! Maybe I can handle the hot weather again. Once I reach 1 tab of Florinef, I will begin 30mg of HC. After I am stable on Florinef and HC, then we will be rechecking my thyroid numbers to see if I will need Armour too. I have a feeling that I will but, who knows?

Things I am still investigating and will be battling:
--Why has my ALT been elevated?
--Why does my TSH fluctuate so much?
--HC/Florinef dosing--trial and error
--What is causing the adrenal insufficiency? Enzyme deficiency? pituitary?
--Can I cure all of this with chelation?

Round 2, Day 2 Mercury Detox

The timer came in the mail yesterday and it has been a life saver. I recommend this to anyone doing Dr. Cutler's mercury detox protocol. The reason why this timer is good is because it is simple. In the middle of the night you need something you won't be fussing around with or confused with how to reset it.

When you set the timer for the desired time of 4 hours, it will begin to count down. This way you never have to set a specific time on the timer. Alarm clocks are simply too unreliable and it requires you to reset it in the middle of the night. This fumbling caused me to miss out on the last 2 doses in the last round.

What sealed the deal for me with this timer is that you can choose what type of alert you want. If you are in a library or somewhere quiet, you can turn it on the vibrating and light mode. If you need it to wake you up at night, you can turn on the ring and turn off the vibrating. This way I can use it in multiple places.

Here's a picture of it.

I have been getting some kidney pain when I am close to my next pill. So I bumped it up to every 3:30 hours just to see if it would subside. Today I am not noticing any kidney pain, so maybe that helped. Waking up every 3 1/2 hours in the middle of the night was horrendous. I am only now "waking up". It has taken a few hours to get going.

My bald spots are very itchy today. That is a bad sign. Anytime they are itchy it means I will be losing hair in the next few days. I'll have to keep an eye on them and see what happens here. Ugh, I really don't want to lose anymore hair.

Here are the most recent hair pictures.

Naturopath Irked Me A Little

Well I had another appointment with my naturopath. When I first got there I was a little excited to hear what he had to say about my new lab results, but quickly realized this was a waste of my time. I've had so much blood work done at this place it isn't even funny. I give the doctor credit for figuring out that I have Diabetes Insipidus because it is a very rare condition that most doctors will NEVER see in their entire careers.

My problem comes from the fact, that I always go into these visits with high expectations. Typically when I go to a normal doctor I figure they will tell me to take some pill or hand me a cream and slap me with a $100 office visit. Well I have much higher expectations with Dr. Goldstein because he talks to you for 45 minutes at each follow up. It is nice to be able to chat with your doctor without feeling like you are rushed.

I know that I have mercury poisoning and the only thing on my mind is getting these darn amalgams out of my mouth so I can begin detoxing. I purposely bumped my appointment up, so that I could talk to him about taking oral DMSA. All of my amalgams will be out of my mouth on September 9th and I wanted to begin my detox on September 13. I figured this way I had time to plan everything out and be ready to start this wicked detoxing journey.

Well Dr. Cutler's mercury detox protocol didn't go over very well with him. He wanted me to do a detox program which says to take oral DMSA every other day. This type of mercury detox is specifically discussed in Dr. Cutler's book and it is dangerous. You can actually damage yourself more because mercury is redistributed in between doses. Taking DMSA less often is more dangerous than more often. He just has no idea what you are supposed to do with mercury and when he immediately discredited Dr. Cutler's protocol it really irked me.

He didn't discredit it because he thought it was dangerous or that it was ineffective. He simply discredited it because he didn't know what it was. Well I insisted on doing Dr. Cutler's protocol and that's my plan. Every other protocol is poorly thought out or planned. It doesn't even take into account what happens to the mercury that is stirred up when the DMSA begins to run out in 4 hours. I suspect that not many patients have become any better on an every other day DMSA protocol.

DMSA does not cross the blood brain barrier. There is no evidence to prove that it does, which is why you MUST add ALA about 3 months into the detox. Some people may need to wait longer if they are severely poisoned. Unfortunately my doctor thinks DMSA crosses the blood brain barrier, but it is not lipid soluable and does not have a special transport protein. Typically you need this for something to cross the blood brain barrier, so I can't understand where people are getting that it does. Dr. Cutler discusses this specific subject on the Yahoo Group. The website, Onibasu.com has archived the interesting and informative posts from Dr. Cutler concerning whether DMSA crosses the blood brain barrier.

This first link made me laugh. At least Dr. Cutler has a sense of humor.

There just seems to be a lot of conflicting information about HOW to detox mercury. One doctor says one thing. Another doctor says another. Yet another doctor says those doctors are wrong. It is very hard to sort through all the information to find one that is good. Most natural doctors insist on taking cilantro, chlorella, IV DMPS and high sulfur diets. Meanwhile Dr. Cutler says these protocols will severely increase symptoms with no guarantee that you are excreting mercury. That doesn't really sound like a good detox protocol.

Well the only doctor that has science to back up his protocol is Dr. Cutler. At this point and time, that's what is important to me. Not what some doctor feels is best.

Getting My Amalgams (Mercury Fillings) Removed

I am in the process of getting my amalgams removed! Let's call them what they are though. Mercury laden fillings that should never be placed in ANYONE's mouth. I don't care what the FDA says, (that it's only unsafe for children and pregnant women) it is unsafe for EVERYONE. These people will be tried for treason when we get our country back. That is for damn sure!

My final appointment is September 9th. I told my husband that was the day I get my life back. Believe it or not, but I truly feel that way. I am 24 years old and feel like I am 90. This isn't what life is supposed to be like at this age. You are supposed to be vibrant, experiencing the beauty of the outdoors, sharing time with family and even perhaps starting a family of your own. Instead, I am constantly worrying if I can "handle" going to the mall or taking a short walk at Moraine State Park. I always have to make sure I am in an area with clean, fresh water without fluoride and if I am not then I bring multiple Berkey Sport water bottles with me filled with well water. BTW Enerfood is THE BEST green foods I have ever had. But I can't take it at the moment since it is full of chlorella, which chelates mercury. I can't begin chelating until the fillings are out of me completely.

This is a picture of my challenge test results. You can see how elevated the levels of mercury and tin are on the sheet. Gadolinium is elevated from an MRI I had done in early February...That's more than 6 months ago and the contrast dye is STILL in my body. The Lead was from my bathtub yet it is still in my body... Lastly, Antimony and Platinum are the ones that confuse me. I have no idea what that could be from.

Once I get my mercury-laden fillings out, I will be following Andrew Hall Cutler's, PhD PE detox protocol. This is the best one I have seen out there. In fact his book has really opened my eyes up to the fact that we have an epidemic on our hands. Millions of people are suffering from mercury poisoning and they do not even know it! You likely know someone...maybe you have it.

If you are interested in learning new stuff, I really recommend buying his book, Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment. It is sold on Amazon, but I think you can find it other places for slightly cheaper. Some portions of the book are way over my head with technical jargon, but 98% of it is written for a lay-man. I am trying to get the word out about this information. We need to get more people healthy in this country and cleansed of the poisons.

Here's to good health in the near future. I know there will be some rough times ahead though. Detoxing mercury is not pretty.
